This February, Borderless Classroom is taking your kids to Mexico! This is not your regular cooking class. The host is a Mexican family who will teach the kids about taco making (the real Mexican taco way), cultural roots, Spanish learning, music, and more!

  Plate Culture is designed as a drop‑off class. With Borderless Classroom, we foster independence by providing a safe, welcoming space where children confidently explore culture through food, language, and joyful activities. Parents are welcome to relax at the nearby café while classes are in session, and our team is always available if you’d like to check in on your child.
• ✨ What if my child is shy or nervous?
  Our small group sizes and warm facilitators help children feel comfortable. Many kids quickly gain confidence once they start cooking, tasting, and sharing stories together. If this is your child’s first time with us, we encourage you to arrive 45 minutes early so they can ease in, get familiar with the space, and feel settled before class begins.
• ✅ What qualifications do the staff have?
  Our team are world travelers who bring global experiences into the classroom. Trisha, our lead facilitator, holds a Forest School Teacher degree from the UK, blending cultural exploration with child‑led learning. Together, we create a safe, inspiring environment where children grow independence while discovering the world through food, language, and traditions.
• 🚸 How do you group children and ensure they’re safe and supported?
  We group children by age so each class feels engaging and developmentally appropriate. Younger kids enjoy playful, hands‑on activities, while older children dive deeper into cooking skills, language, and storytelling. To make sure every child feels safe and supported, we maintain a 1:3 staff‑to‑child ratio, giving plenty of attention and guidance as they build independence and explore culture through food.

  Worldschooling is learning through real‑world experiences—like food, culture, and community—rather than just textbooks. At Plate Culture, children explore traditions, languages, and stories in hands‑on ways that make learning joyful and memorable.
• 🍴 Will my child eat during class?
  Yes! Children taste the foods they prepare, and we always check for allergies or dietary restrictions to ensure everyone feels included and safe.
