Wee Wildlings™: Tender beginnings, rooted in play and discovery.

Our Wee Wildlings™ program is for worldschooling families with children ages 1–5 years old, where small groups, playful routines, and visible growth in literacy and numeracy make learning come alive.

Wee Wildlings helps toddlers discover curiosity, confidence, and self-awareness outdoors.

Through nature-based learning and play, children develop curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving skills in ways that a traditional classroom cannot replicate.

We meet each child where they are, respecting their pace, interests, and comfort level. Every step outdoors is guided by curiosity, not pressure.

OUR APPROACH

The Whole Brain Child

We follow the “whole child approach”: an educational philosophy that goes beyond academics, focusing on nurturing every aspect of a child’s development (social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and mental health) so they grow into balanced, capable, and resilient individuals.

Curriculum Highlights

Movement through play

Children build strength, coordination, and confidence through joyful play, turning everyday movement into natural learning that supports healthy growth and independence.

Emotional safety

Small groups and nurturing routines create a safe, predictable environment where children feel secure, valued, and free to explore learning with confidence.

Social Emotional Wellbeing

Children learn empathy, cooperation, and resilience through guided play and mindful routines, building strong social skills and emotional awareness for lifelong relationships.

Inner peace and outdoor harmony

Mindfulness practices and nature exploration help children find calm, balance, and joy, fostering inner peace and a deep connection to the outdoors.

Healthy eating and restful sleep

We encourage nourishing food habits and consistent, restful sleep routines, supporting children’s energy, focus, and overall wellbeing for daily learning and growth.

Spanish language learning

Children joyfully absorb Spanish through songs, stories, and play, building early language skills that spark curiosity and cultural awareness in a natural way.

Early STEM Foundations

Playful introductions to science, math, and biology through real‑world exploration.

Scavenger Hunt

Encourage problem-solving, categorization, and memory recall. Kids learn to connect clues with real-world objects, strengthening early science and math skills.

Plant Identification

Feeling textures, noticing shapes, and comparing colors engages multiple senses, which is especially important for toddlers’ brain development.

Bug Safari

Kids learn about ecosystems, food chains, and biodiversity in a hands-on way. It’s an early introduction to biology and environmental science.

Sound Quest

Identifying birds chirping, leaves rustling, or water flowing sharpens listening and sound awareness—important for language and early literacy.

Scent Challenge

Smelling plants, soil, and flowers strengthens sensory pathways, helping toddlers refine their sense of smell and connect it with memory.

Touch & Feel

Feeling tree bark, soft moss, crunchy leaves, and smooth stones strengthens tactile awareness and helps toddlers build connections between touch and understanding.

Log Balancing

Walking across uneven surfaces strengthens coordination, balance, and core stability. Kids learn to assess safe steps, building courage and resilience while practicing careful movement.

Obstacle Courses

Climbing, jumping, and balancing strengthen muscles, coordination, and overall physical fitness.

Lots of free play

Free Play is an essential part of outdoor learning—it gives children the space to move, explore, and grow at their own pace while still being safely supervised.
