Welcome to the Compass — your guide to how Borderless Gatherings comes alive. Here, you’ll find the rhythms, principles, and shared practices that shape daily life in our gatherings.
This gathering takes place on the ancestral land of the Aeta community. Their presence is not an “add‑on” but a living part of the experience.
Families will learn directly from Aeta mentors through forest walks, storytelling, and shared practices.
Immersion is rooted in respect: we are guests on their land, and our role is to listen, learn, and honor their wisdom.
To keep this relationship dignified and reciprocal, we follow a few simple rules:
No direct giving → Families are asked not to hand out money or gifts.
Community support → Contributions flow through agreed programs that sustain education, livelihoods, and cultural preservation.
Respectful engagement → We join activities as learners, not tourists, and honor the rhythms of Aeta life.
By following these guidelines, families help ensure that immersion uplifts the community rather than creating dependency. The result is a relationship built on reciprocity, dignity, and shared joy.
Before the date of the reset, families meet twice a month online to get to know each other and discuss important things like boundaries and group rules.
During the gathering, we will also meet twice a week to discuss what needs to be changed or improved.
We want all families to be active participants of the gathering to avoid misunderstandings. This is also where we will discuss group decisions like outings.
All houses are identical condo‑style units, each with three bedrooms designed for comfort and simplicity.
Families live side by side in a shared complex surrounded by nature, creating a sense of community while still maintaining privacy.
We understand that some families are smaller, and if you’re open to sharing a unit and splitting the cost with other joiners, we’ll discuss those arrangements together.
Shared housing helps make the retreat more affordable and fosters deeper connections — children find playmates, parents exchange stories, and everyone benefits from shared rhythms.
Each unit includes basic amenities for rest and work, with communal spaces nearby for meals, gatherings, and quiet time.
The goal is to make living together feel natural and supportive — a small village where families collaborate, rest, and grow side by side.
In many of our gatherings, communal meals are the anchor moments of the community.
Eating at the same time creates a natural pause in the day, helping families sync with one another. We love seeing parents, children, and even strangers sit side by side, breaking barriers and building kinship.
Food carries traditions, and sharing it opens space for stories, gratitude, and learning. Healthy meals become a lived expression of the retreat’s values, nourishing body and spirit.
Cooking together is also one of our favorites as we get to learn from one another. We’ve been joined by many good cooks from around the world and even if you don’t cook, you’re still super welcome to join.
We also do some cooking lessons as the kids really love it! This is also so magical as we all get to experience food from different cultures.
Sometimes, parents also arrange adult dinners but we rarely go out to avoid the crowds and high expenses of eating out.
As digital nomads, we understand how essential it is to have dedicated time for meaningful work.
This 21‑day gathering is designed to give you space and focus — whether you’re finishing a project you’ve been nurturing or finally starting the one that’s been waiting for the right moment.
Surrounded by nature and a supportive community, you’ll find the balance between productivity and rest, so your ideas can truly take root.
All units are equipped with wifi and our common gathering areas also have wifi.
While you work, your children will be taken care of through activities in the forests.
Please note that our drop-off is only until 3 PM but if you need more time for work, the group can discuss to extend the drop-off care, especially those who need to work in European timezone.
Our drop‑off program idesigned to give families peace of mind and children a full day of meaningful experiences.
From morning circles to nature play, guided hikes, creative workshops, and shared meals, kids are immersed in a rhythm that balances learning, wellness, and fun.
Parents can focus on their own projects or rest, knowing their children are safe, engaged, and thriving in community.
By the end of the day, families reconnect with stories, laughter, and a sense of renewal — each child having explored, discovered, and grown in the rainforest village.
Every week, we dedicate one weekday to a shared outing. We have a list of amazing destinations and activities, but the choice of where to go is always made together as a group.
This way, each excursion reflects the interests and energy of the families present.
The costs for these outings are separate from the retreat fee, yet they remain very affordable since expenses are shared among participants.
These weekly adventures are not only about exploring new places, but also about strengthening community bonds through collective decision‑making and shared experiences.
To keep balance between community and private time, we set aside one day each week for families to enjoy on their own.
After our group excursion, the following day is usually taken as a rest day but the exact rhythm is always decided together as a community.
We know that some parents need to work on weekdays, but the reason we schedule our excursions during the week is simple: there’s less traffic and fewer crowds in many places.
This makes the experience calmer, safer, and more enjoyable for families.
We invite families to bring something from their home country like a small item, food, song, dance, story, or tradition to share with the group.
If possible, prepare or pack something before your trip that represents your culture. This is a chance for children and parents alike to celebrate their roots, exchange traditions, and create a night of connection and joy.
If you’re continuously on the road and unable to bring something from your home country, let us know. We’ll gladly help you find something available locally/
